The Role Initiative’s Life-Readiness Academy is a transformative journey that empowers young individuals to build character, acquire essential life skills, excel in interpersonal interactions and become street-smart and rights-aware citizens.

OUR APPROACH MAXIMIZES ENGAGEMENT
INTERACTIVITY AT THE CORE
We avoid textbooks and power point lectures. We bring principles to life through role play, group activities and gamification. Interactivity is at the core of every session so students gain confidence in expressing their feelings, opinions, creativity and ideas.
REAL WORLD SCENARIOS
We use real world scenarios likely to occur in their homes, classrooms and communities to provide practical, hand-on learning. We lean heavily into common-place scenarios, current events and public figures to ensure relatability and relevance.
TRANSFORMATIVE OUTCOMES
Transformation occurs when participants see themselves, each other, and their world with a fresh perspective. Our program emphasizes self-awareness, introspection and exploration in order to help participants shed unhelpful mind-states and build bridges to becoming the person they want to be.
REWARDING EXPERIENCES
With decades of experience as workshop facilitators, both Clement and Megan bring tremendous credibility and energy to the classroom. Our program is also complimented by guest speakers, field trips, parent/guardian check-ins, and a highly celebratory "fashion show" graduation ceremony.
THE CURRICULUM
Our 144 hour, 24 week program is designed to take place over a six month period. However it can be adapted or custom-configured to meet specific organizational requirements.
During the program, participants will craft their own personal “Coat of Arms” which will commemorate their strengths, passions, values and serve as a personal-conduct” roadmap to guide their future actions and behaviors.
